Many of our products can safely go in the dishwasher, offering convenience without compromising durability. However, some natural materials (like bamboo or wood) are best cleaned by hand to preserve their quality. You’ll find clear care instructions in each product description.

• Dishwasher safe: though hand washing is gentler and helps prolong the life of your product.

• Avoid overheating and direct contact with open flames.

1. Cleaning: wash with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry immediately with a clean towel. Never soak your board, as this can cause warping or cracks.

2. Oiling: occasionally apply mineral oil to keep the board hydrated and prevent splitting. Rub in a thin layer and wipe off any excess.

3. Use and Storage: store your board upright in a dry place to allow air circulation. Avoid heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent warping.

Your cast iron teapot is a durable and elegant choice for brewing tea. With proper care, it will stay beautiful and functional for many years. Follow these guidelines:

Before first use: Rinse the teapot 3–4 times with boiling water and carefully dry with a clean cloth.

Preparing your tea:

• Never heat water directly in the teapot. Use a kettle or saucepan instead.
  
• Preheat the teapot by pouring ~1 cm of boiling water inside, swirling gently, then discarding the water.
  
• Use low-mineral or filtered water at the appropriate temperature for your tea type.
  
• Add tea leaves (2–2.5 g per cup) into the stainless steel filter.
  
• Steeping times: Ceylon teas 3–5 min, Chinese teas 5–8 min. After steeping, compost or reuse the tea leaves in your garden.
  

Cleaning & storage:

• Never use the dishwasher to clean the teapot.
  
• Rinse with hot water only (no detergent or scrubbing).
  
• Avoid sudden temperature changes.
  
• Wipe the exterior while still warm; let the interior air dry without the lid or filter.
  
• Ensure the teapot is completely dry before storing. Store separately from the lid and filter if possible.
  
• The stainless steel filter is dishwasher-safe.
  
• Avoid contact between the exterior and salt or greasy substances to prevent stains.
