Silicone is an innovative material made from silicium, a natural element found in sand and rock. Through an advanced chemical process, it becomes durable, flexible, and heat-resistant, resisting breaking, deformation, or wear over time. Unlike plastic, it is not derived from petroleum, and therefore contains no phthalates and is BPA-free.

At Point-Virgule, we use 100% platinum silicone, the highest quality available. Unlike regular silicone, platinum silicone is non-toxic, hypoallergenic, PFAS-free, and safe for food contact. It offers excellent non-stick performance, is odorless, easy to clean, and can withstand extreme temperatures (-40°C to +230°C) without losing shape.
