Not only the zero waste stores, but also large department stores are moving away from the plastic bags. A disposable bag per type of fruit is completely a thing of the past. But of course you can't just put those tomatoes loose in your shopping cart. That is why these cotton bags are the perfect alternative.
In most stores, fruits and vegetables are weighed at the cash register and simply deduct the weight of the bag. The tare weight is stated on the label. If you have to weigh your vegetables yourself, place them loose in the scales and hang the sticker on the bag.
